Johnnie update

Hello! Johnnie is doing really good at home. She continues on oxygen. Her Dr. appointment went really well. She weighs 7.15 now so she is gaining nice. They seem to be settling in at home just great. They seen the Dr that delievered her in Luverne and he said she was doing great for the worst Miconium baby he has ever seen. It hits me everyday that she is a miracle baby that she is still with us. She is so sweet and precious. I got to go and hold her last night and rocked her to sleep. Sorry I have not updated in a couple days. I had a procedure done at the hospital yesterday and it took me down pretty good. I was hoping to bounce right back but not the case. And don't worry I am going to be just fine so that is good. We are off to enjoy the lake today and the nice weather one last weekend. In MN you never know when they will end. I will update new pictures soon. God Bless you.

Our little Johnnie

Johnnie is doing pretty good today. Sounds like they got some sleep last night so that is always helps for a better day. They go in to Luverne tomorrow for Johnnie's 2 week check up. Will be fun to see what she weights. Sounds like the apnea machine went off once last night but that is all so too bad it went off but good thing it was only once. Keep praying!! Isn't she just so darn cute!! We are going to be able to see her on Friday, can't wait. The girls have not seen her yet so they are excited!

Update on Johnnie

Hi all!! Thought I would update on my niece and let you know that Johnnie is home. I still love hearing her being called my niece, it is a really awesome feeling. Brings tears to my eyes right now thinking about the love I feel for this little girl. She is so special. I sure do miss her and hope to see her Friday night.

She got home Monday late afternoon. Sounds like the first night home was sleepless in the Fransen house. Those of you that have children can probably all relate. The big joys of a new baby. But I don't think they minded too much. She was a bit fussy, a big trip home for her. She had a pretty good day today and the apnea machine never went off. I think they are trying to settle in as a family and figure it all out. She will be on oxygen for 1 month.

Keep praying that Johnnie gets bigger each day and is able to get rid of the oxygen soon. God Bless you.

Dancing to God's Big Back Yard

Time to dance, the girls and I dance almost every night when I get home from work and tonight it was "God's big back yard". Macie loves the song, she sings this song all the time, it is so darn cute. Had to share it with you guys.

Update on Johnnie, she is home. She will be on oxygen and an apnea machine for 1 month and then will be re evaluated. Praying that they have a smooth transition and she gets strong everyday! Keep praying!

Johnnie Update

Johnnie update!!! Johnnie's blood work is prefect for that is a really good sign. She had an apnea and oxygen test done last night, some machine that reads her levels of oxygen for 12 hours. She dipped below the recommended oxygen 109 times in that 12 hour period, so she needs to be on oxygen for 1 month. The Dr would like her to stay in the hospital but agreed to let them go home tomorrow. I am praying that this is a good decision and praying that everything goes well at home. I know Kari and Colton will love to have her at home just hope Johnnie does well. So please pray for them and Johnnie that they have a smooth transition at home and all goes well.

Here are so new precious pictures. She looks so good. So nice to see her all cleaned up. Keep praying for them right now. Johnnie is having a sleep apnea test done tonight and we are really praying that she is ready to go home tomorrow. If not tomorrow soon. I was asked to be Johnnie's god mother last night. I was so honored and could not help but just cry. I love that girl.

Johnnie update

We are at the hospital and I found a computer to post an update. The day is very much a roller coaster. Kari is not doing well at all. LOTS of EMOTIONS!!! Some probably from all the hormones and some from all the stress. One minute Johnnie is doing great and they talk about taking her home Sunday. One minute they threaten putting her on oxygen and running millions and tests and tell her she will not be going home for a while. It is hard to know how to feel. She is so very cute and looks so good. She looks like a normal baby so that is really positive. Her lungs are reading clear so that is really a positive also. She is eating like crazy and growing. So many things to be thankful for and so many blessings and I am concentrating on those. This baby is a miracle and I thank God all the time for her second chance in life. I pray for Kari to see those blessings and to focus on those to get her through the next few days. She wants to go home and I can understand that. They will not be going home Sunday we know that and we are not sure when she will go home. Hopefully soon. God Bless you all and thank you for all the prayers. And I took new pictures that I will update as soon as I get home. She is so beautiful. Angie

Just talked with mom and sounds like her oxygen is off and it bounces around some and dips low, but she is holding her own. We are praying for her to continue getting stronger. The Dr. thought that she is right on schedule for a miconium baby. So that is great news. Keep praying hard. Please God remind us to look at the positive points and focus on those and not the negative ones. I really feel in my heart she is going to be okay. Praying for us to stay focused on the good.

Pray for Johnnie

Update on Johnnie. Not sure what is going on today. A few problems that make your heart sink. She had some apnea problems last night so that is a little scary. Hope and praying that it does not keep occuring. Sounds like she had a spell for like 20 seconds, very scary. Also she is back on oxygen this afternoon because she is not keeping her oxygen up. They are running test and wondering if she has some flem build-up and is not breathing right. Please keep praying. It is a lot for everyone to handle. Because we want Kari to be able to take this baby home and get some rest and less stress at home. She is starting to feel the days in the hospital. Mom is with her tonight and I will join them tomorrow for the weekend. Please keep praying and we will update with you all soon. God bless you.

Little Johnnie

Update on Johnnie. She is still doing good. She had a temp on Wednesday and they are are sure of the reason. It goes up and down. They are running test some have came back negative and some we are still waiting on. We are praying that nothing else is going on and that she will still be able to go home on Sunday. Kari is ready to take her baby girl home. The days are getting long. We will be there tomorrow along with my mom and we are going to spend the night. Should be fun. Johnnie is so sweet, can't wait to see her. Keep the prayers coming

Check out Johnnie on the cradle roll now at the hospital. Click the link below. Johnnie is doing great today and Kari seems to be getting stronger every day, which is great. All the spinal tap tests came back normal so that was a huge relief. And her lungs are looking better. That is an answered prayer!!!! She is eating more today. They are looking at coming home Sunday if everything continues improving. Keep those prayers coming.

Miss Johnnie

Hi! I am posting my daily update. Not too much new to update which is a good thing I think. Johnnie is doing good as far as we know. She is getting stronger everyday. I do believe that she was having another spinal tap done this afternoon. I talked with Kari at 1 and not have been able to talk with her tonight. No cell phones in ICU. Not fair. So we have so many things to be thankful for. And we also ask for prayers that the spinal tap comes back all negative. Kari is staying with a family friend on the Fransen side this week so we are thankful that all work out and they don't live too far from the hospital. I am sure missing Johnnie tonight. My heart aches to see that little girl. I want to see how strong she is getting. Sounds like she is eating great from a bottle. She is not eating much they are limitting it but she is liking the milk. We all wish we could be there for Kari this week. Gets to be a long week all by yourself but she is doing great. If it was not for stink'n work, ha ha. I will keep you posted as I get updates. Please keep Kari is your prayers to be getting stronger everyday and healing. We also pray the same for Johnnie. We are thankful for all the good blessings God has given us this week. God is Good!!!! I pray for you to keep our heart opens and that we all stay strong. God Bless you.

Johnnie Update

Hi! Sounds like Johnnie is getting stronger today. She is able to eat more every feeding so that is a great sign. Kari said, they finally gave her a bath and got her all cleaned up so that is nice because she was a little messy from everything she has been through. Kari was released from the hospital today and she went home for the night. Get a good night sleep and get a few things gathered together that she needs for another week of hospital staying. She is going to try to stay with a friend of the Fransen family in the evening in Sioux Falls so she gets a good night sleep. She needs to get stronger also so that when Johnnie gets home, momma is doing good. Thank you for all your prayers. We are really feeling them and we are all missing Johnnie tonight. Brings tears to my eyes. But we have endless things to be greatful for that we need to look at those and not that ones that make you cry. We are very blessed and lucky. Thank Lord for all your blessings on this family.

Johnnie update

Well, I am finally getting on here to update. I stayed at the hospital last night with Kari and we got to spend a few hours with Johnnie. It was awesome. Kari held her for a long time and I was also able to hold her. She was taken off the oxygen today and is holding her own, she is doing awesome. She is showing a little more of a sign of developing pneumonia but hoping that the antibiotic she is on for 10 days now will keep it to a minimum. Praying for that. Her lungs are not clear at this point so hoping for improvement every day. She did get to have some milk this afternoon so that is a great start. First time. Grandma Joan and Aunt Jeanna and cousins Shayna and Jade came to visit today and that was great seeing them. We all left Colton and Kari this evening to have some quiet time with there little girl. I miss her already. She is just the most precious little baby ever and fighting really hard. Thank you for all your prayers. Keep praying. And keep praying for Kari to keep healing and to deal with the quietness this week when we all have to go back to work. We will be thinking of her and Johnnie every minute but the deals will get long for her. God Bless you.

Johnnie Alexus

Here she is Miss Johnnie Alexua Fransen. She looks beautiful even through everything she has been through in 24 hours. She is critical yet stable at this point. They are going to be trying to turn the ventilator down this afternoon so pray that it works and she keeps getting stronger. Kari is doing really well also. Keep praying. "Thank you God for all that you have blessed us with so far."
God who loves us so much, one who is faithful and can see the big picture even when we can't. He understands what's best even when it doesn't make sense to us. He is truly good and he loves us so much.
"For I know the plans I have for you. Plan to prosper us. To give you hope and a future, says the Lord."
Such joy in life, even in the middles of green pain, that Jesus knows everything about you and had the best at heart.
Keep fighting Johnnie.

I am an Auntie and We need Prayers

My sister Kari had her baby girl yesterday 7 pounds 3 ounces. Her name is Johnnie Alexus. Johnnie is very very sick and we need many many prayers that Johnnie is strong and can fight this. Yesterday everything went way wrong not the way that Kari and Colton had planned the day to go. She started labor at home and went in the hospital things were going great. (Keeping in find they have been trying to have a baby for many years.) The Dr broke her water and the color was brown very alarming for the Dr the babies heart rate was dropping. Time for ER c-section. The baby came out no breathing. Comes to be that the baby had a bowl movement and had been having them for many over a week. This is really bad. Johnnie I believe this hour is still holding her own. She was air lifted to Sioux Falls and Kari was able to join her last night. She is on a ventilator and is very sick. She did aspirate that stuff in her lungs so we are dealing with that. Please pray for Johnnie. We are needing a miracle and with many prayers I believe it can happen. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I will keep you posted. Not sure if I will be able to see her today but as soon as I get a picture I will post. God bless you.

Happy Birthday Madelyn

Well, we had an awesome weekend. Madelyn will be 5 on Wednesday so we had her birthday on Saturday. We have a great time. We got our nails done on Saturday with my mom and that was really fun and great to take time to do something special with me being so busy lately. Really a nice time. We had a Hello Kitty birthday and it was great. Lots of nice time to talk and relax with family. We sat by our new firpit and that was great. Wishing my Madelyn an awesome week. Macie will turn 2 1/2 on Friday and I like to make half cupcakes for that. And Friday evening we have 4 little kids coming over for a birthday party for Maddi so that should be busy and fun. Maddi got a bouncer for her birthday so that should keep them busy. God Bless you.

Happy Birthday to you!

Happy 5th Birthday to Maddi. We celebrated her birthday which is really Wednesday the 13th on Saturday. A Hello Kitty Cake that I made and decorated myself. A Mock Angel food cake and it tasted good. I was happy. Lots of work but I felt like a real mom making her child a cake.

Jumpimg Jumping

Everyone is enjoying the birthday present the bouncer.....think it will be good to keep them busy. We laughed that it would be the blow up babysitter while we enjoyed the fire pit!

God is Good

Today I had a very frightening start to my day. This is the closest to death that I think that I have came and I am so thank ful for a second chance at life. I was heading to work this morning and it was around 4:45 am. Drinking my coffee and listening the my christian music just absorbing God's grace and thinking of all the good things God has gave me like my wonderful family and 2 beautiful girls. And I came up over a hill and thought this semi looked sort of funny and realized very quickly that the semi was in my lane heading right toward me. So I was not sure what to do and this all happened within seconds. I started heading toward the ditch and honking my horn and I closed my eyes and I seriously have no idea how he missed me. He was heading right towards me and made a sharp turn and missed me by millimeters. So I stopped and caught my breath and thanked God for a second chance on life today. The only way to explain it was the Grace of God saved me today and I am going to take this experience and learn from it and hear what God is telling me and listen to what he wants me to do. I am so thankful tonight for living. God Bless you tonight. Be thankful for every second in your life because within seconds it could all have changed. Sending my love. And thank you God.

Suprise Visit

We had a great weekend, we worked on the backyard and I worked a lot on the house with Madelyn's 5 year old birthday coming next weekend. We had a suprise visit today from the Elness family. The kids had a great time playing in the pool and it was so fun to see them together. Thank you so much for coming over Elness family. Today was the daughter Kendra's birthday so would have been 8 years old. She has been gone for almost 7 years in October. She was an amazing little girl. She taught us a lot of life lessons in her short time. Lessons that we will never forget. God Bless you.
