Poor Macie

Well,, this week has been a very hard week. Poor Macie has been sick starting on Monday evening she started with a 102 temp, I thought she was pretty warm before bed. And she fought with a fever all week. Started coughing on Wednesday night. Thursday morning her temp was up to 104. Yikes, that was a little scary for me. So off to the Dr we go. Influenza test and chest xray but all came back normal, thank goodness!!! Yet, still fighing a cough and fever. She will not eat and is so crabby. Poor little girl. It is so hard to know how to make them feel better when they just cry and cry. 6am this morning 103.7 fever back. Man, when will is stop. She coughed all night and cried started waking up at 9, 10, 11, 11:20, 11:40, 1, 1:20, 1:40 get the picture. I just wish I knew what was going on. They called it a virus. Great and could last for 5-7 days, so we should be almost done with it. Please pray for little Macie. She needs it and she needs to feel better soon.

On a happier note, Jay's brother from Texas is coming home today and we are really excited about it. Hoping for a happy Macie!!!

Our weekend was fun filled

The girls and I spent Saturday with Johnnie. She came and spent the night at her aunties house and we enjoyed it. Jay was gone ice fishing and we enjoyed playing with her and the girls wanted her to sleep in there room. So they had a slumber party. A bit different caring for a infant all day and all night but it was good. Johnnie is doing great and developing awesome, it is just a blessing from where she started. We praise God for that and give him all the Glory!! It was hard to get some good pictures but wanted to show you all how big she is getting. My Girls Going Hollywood

I got a new Mino Flip Video for my birthday so I decided to pull it out and tape the girls singing and dancing to Go Fish. They just love dancing to music. After watching them I decided I should get them to Hollywood!!

Tooth number 2!!

well, this morning Madelyn lost tooth number 2! She was so excited. Tooth fairy left $5 last time so she is wondering how many he will leave tonight. He is gone ice fishing tonight so I am thinking the lady tooth fairy is going to have to step in and she might not be as generous. I promise I will not post every tooth that she looses but she was so excited I need to share it and especially for the grandparents! I promise to not be one of those mom's!

"It's My Birthday"

Today was a great day and I want to thank my family and friends for making it a great day. It has just been wonderful. The whole 30 thing has been great even being 30. It has been a wonderful day. My dad and Beckie sent me flowers and they are so beautiful. Thank you so much Dad and Beckie. Jay and the girls made a cake and did a great job. Love you all.

Turning 30

Well, I am turning the big 3...0...... on Tuesday the 13th. I was really suprised with a party on Saturday night with many friends and family. I want to give everyone that was involved a big THANK YOU!!!!! It was so awesome to have everyone together to have fun and laugh for a few hours. It was awesome. We had over 25 people that were able to come and that was just great, THANK YOU AGAIN!

I have been thinking about this turning 30 thing. I remind myself it is only a number and actually am just fine with turning 30 the thing that gets me thinking and I can't believe that it I am already 30. Like hard to belive. And people say you are only as old as you feel and I guess that is true because I am having a hard time feeling 30 (however it is suppose to feel). You start to think back to all that you have accomplished in your 20's. A lot went on in my 20's and they were awesome years but busy. From going to college, turning 21 (remember how you could not wait for that day), graduating from college and it was hard to believe that it was time for that, getting married, buying a house, have my first baby and how amazing that was like nothing you can even describe and then have your second child, getting your career established. Just so many first and it was amazing and scary all at the same time. I guess now is when you think of through all these experiences you have learned a lot of hard lessons, and some fun lessons and just lessons of life and now you have all these WISDOM to carry with you in your 30's. And it is the wisdom that I am excited about having to enter into my 30's and to carry with me. I love when a new mom has an issue that comes up and I have been there and done that and can share my wisdom with them. See if it all about the WISDOM.

I look at my kids being 5 and almost 3 and it is hard to believe that they are that old already, time just flies. I was thinking about my mom having a 30 year old now and how crazy that must be to say (sorry mom!!) but can imagine your kids being 30 it seems like that is like so far from now and with the way time flies it will probably be here before you know it. I am really looking forward to the 30's to see what will all be in store and all the amazing wisdom I will have year after year.

I was thinking about what I was going to accomplish in my 30's and goals I was going to set and what it really means now. I need to start plannning and thinking and setting these. I am sure I can accomplish something really cool in my 30's. I am old now............. I am thinking about being more spontaneous (everyone reading this that really knows me knows that I am not spontaneous at all) I am all ready trying to schedule my summer time off so that I don't mess with my patient schedule at work and trying to figure out the time I need off in September because of Maddi going to kindergarden and Macie preschool and I want to be there on there first days. See I have this planning problem. So who knows what I may decide to do in my 30's watch out family. I was talking with my step-mom and we decided that more travel should be done in my 30's and that we should be able to see each other more, I think that decides like a great idea!!! I welcome in the 30's. God Bless you all!

Big day in the Murphy House

Well, Maddi lost her first tooth tonight. The tooth has been ready to come out for a few days now but she said it hurt everytime that we started to try to get it out. So I brought some topical home tonight and she let me take it out, Dr. Murphy tonight. She was so proud of herself and Macie cried because she was worried about her sister. The tooth went into the pillow and we are awaiting the tooth fairy.

Enjoying some down time

Today the girls and I enjoyed some girl time before life gets busy again. So hard to believe that Christmas and New Years is behind us. And with my time off it has been so great to have some down time. I can't even imagine if I would have had to go to work during all this hussle and bussle. So I know my days are winding down so we had a tea party with a tea set that Maddi got for Christmas and Maddi also got a baking set for her birthday so we made some cookies while I made my meals for the week which I always do so that supper goes better for us during the week. Thought I would share some pictures! It is freezing rain here in Adrian so a good time to stay in doors.

Life with a 2 year old

Well life with a 2 year old is a crack up and also can be a challenge. I have had 12 days off now through Christmas and New Years, and it has been so awesome and such a blessing to spend so much time with the girls. We have not had very many plans so we have really enjoyed sometime at home and together. Some of the one liners that Macie has came up with have just sent me on the floor rolling with laughter.

**She is always in my purse getting lip stick on, it is my worse pet peeve because she is always messing my purse up and I hate when it is all unorganized (imagine that ) but she looks at me with these eyes and says, but mom I need some lip stick for my lips they are dry.

**She was sitting by me last night and looks at me and says my forehead is killing me, I thought okay and started to laugh, she goes on to tell me that it is itching like crazy!!

***She took some water to bed with her last night and her and Macie were sleeping together and Maddi told her to stop drinking water or she would pee the bed so Macie yelled for me and said Mom, can you put my water away for I won't pee the bed. (too much temptation I guess)!!

** I went to through something away the other day and a doll she got for Christmas was in the garbage and I said Macie why is your new doll in the garbage and she said because I tried to put her shoe on and it was hold and then it fell off so I threw it away. (temper at all).

Never know when she is going to do next, keeps life exciting and at times I just want to squeeze her because she is just so cute.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year!!!! We went our and celebrated with a group of friends last night. We had a great time and even made it until midnight!!!! It was really nice going out and laughing and enjoying nice company. We went out with a few of our friends. The girls had our favorite babysitter and Brittney brought over party hats and horns and wine (sparkling grape juice). The girls loved it they are still talking about it this morning. And one of our friends little boys stayed and played with the girls also and sounds like they had lots of fun!!!

Hard to believe 2009, remember when it was 2000 and we could not believe it. That does not seem that long ago! Wow time flies. Heres to a great 2009 with many good things to come.
